Give and it Shall be Given to You...

Luke 6:38
"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."
I absolutely LOVE this verse! It is so descriptive. You can NEVER ever outgive God!
As we live one day at a time here on earth we tend to look at everything with an earthly focus and sometimes get bogged down with what possessions we do and don't have. Life is not about "stuff". We currently live here in the age of grace and if you are one of God's children then you are waiting for Him to return to take us to be with Him in Heaven. We cannot take any of our "things" with us.
There isn't anything wrong with having earthly possessions-God gives us all that we have, but they should not be our first priority or our main focus.
Matthew 6:18-20

"That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:"

James 1:17
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."
Best gift? Eternal Life. Other good gifts? Being able to share the gospel to others all over the world-missionaries, seeing souls saved. Living a life that imitates Christ. Giving and tithing out of your monetary gifts. God will provide. He always has and will continue to do so for His children.
There is a certain peace that comes from knowing that God cares and takes care of His children.

Ephesians 3:20
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,"... AMEN.
