Happy Thanksgiving

Praise God from whom all blessing flow!
Praise Him all creatures here below!
Praise Him above ye heavenly hosts!
Praise Father, Son, & Holy Ghost!

Psalm 150
"Praise the Lord!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
 Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

Today has been set aside as a national holiday in our country. Thanksgiving should not just be a day when we list all we are thankful for but when we remember why we have all that we have. God has been gracious and merciful. The Pilgrims came over from Europe and persevered so that we could have a free country. Free to worship as we please. Free to celebrate all of the blessings that God has bestowed on us. But, even if we did not live in a free country, or have a good job, or a church to worship freely in, or a roof over our heads-God is still God and has given us a gift worth more than anything else we could ask or think-His Son sent to earth to die on the cross for our sins so that we can have everlasting life. This is enough to be thankful for even if we didn't have any of the other blessings.
As we live one day at a time, we tend to lose our focus. We get caught up in the drama of life. Don't.

Jude 24-25
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.
(I am having some problems with attaching pictures due to storage-I am working on it but it may be 24hrs before I can add-and I'm hoping I didn't delete pics out of my other posts! Thanks for being patient!)
