I pass by this field each morning on my way to work. This morning was a beautiful sunrise that highlighted all of these hay bales that have been rolled and waiting to be picked up and taken to where it will be stored and used over the next few months.
It reminded me of a verse in the Bible:
John 4:35
"Say not, There are yet four months, and then comes harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest"
The disciples were looking for a tangible crop but Christ was talking about people.
As we are living one day at a time, each day brings us one day closer to the time that Christ will return for His bride-the church. I don't believe that it will be very long until He comes. Prophecies are being fulfilled and I truly believe that we are in the 'end times'. I do believe that there are some things that still have to happen and one of them will be that we as Christians may have some of our freedoms stripped. It may not always be popular or easy to witness. How will you react? There are still souls out there that need saving. We still have a job to do. We must continue to share the gospel of Christ and His power to save through the blood. People are searching for something to fill the holes in their lives. They need to know that Christ is the only ONE that can fill that hole.
God has said that whosoever will call upon His name WILL be saved.
Once the harvest is complete then Christ will return for us, but until then we are to be busy doing the work that He has given us to do. Each person has a part. Are you doing your part?
