God's House

This is our church-the one we attend each week. We are there for Sunday School and Sunday morning and evening service. We are also there on Wednesday nights for prayer time and bible study.

We enjoy being there for mission conferences, A.W.A.N.A., Christmas programs, cantatas, and other special events. But it is just a building. We were part of the group that helped build this building, one day at a time. It gives us a bond but it is still just a building. The church though, is really the group of believers that meet there. We are just blessed to meet in a beautiful building and worship and praise God there.

This is another church-Westminster Abbey in London. This building is mainly used for coronations and burials for English, British, and monarchs. It is famous and visited by many but it is still just a building.

A church building is special in the sense that it is called God's house because that is where people go to worship Him but we need to remember that although it is special and should be treated so it is still just a building. We make up the church as believers and as long as we are here on earth we need to continue worshiping and praising Him-occupying until He comes! When Christ returns there won't be any need for any more buildings and we will worship Him in person.
