Like a Tree

There are a lot of different types of trees-they may look different because they are a different type-like oaks, maples, firs, magnolia, and yet they all have something alike. They all have roots and trunks and branches and leaves. You can draw a parallel to people. We are different in aspects like our height, weight, eye color. But we are the same and all are born with a sinful heart. We all must come to the same place and realize we are a sinner and ask Christ to forgive our sins and become our Savior. I love Psalm 1 and how it  compares man with a tree and how we should be one day at a time..

  1 Blessed is the man 

   who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, 

nor stands in the way of sinners, 

   nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 

2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, 

   and on his law he meditates day and night.

   3 He is like a tree 

   planted by streams of water 

that yields its fruit in its season, 

   and its leaf does not wither. 

In all that he does, he prospers.
