Today in Christendom Good Friday is celebrated. It is 2 days before Easter and commemorates the day that Christ died on the cross. It is hard to fathom what Christ endured for us.
The false accusations that He took.
The beatings and the scoffing, the crown of thorns and nails.
Yet He took it all for me. He took it all for you.
Three of the most important words~ "It Is Finished"!
But the best part is that the cross now stands empty. Better yet, the tomb also is empty!
He died once for all and conquered death for us so that we can have eternal life.
Today is a good day to reflect on what Christ did for us and how He gave up everything so that we can have everything.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. I Cor. 15:3-4
