Reflection

I could sit by a lake or pond all day and look at the reflections made in the water.

It's amazing how water can reflect the image.

Proverbs 27:19:

 "As in water face reflects face, 

   so the heart of man reflects the man."

This verse should make us stop in our place and "reflect" on what it says. What is in your heart? 

Proverbs 23:7 

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..."

We have all heard the saying, "A man is what he eats" but I think it is more accurate to say "A man is what he thinks".  Our goal is to be more like Christ and what is in our thoughts will come out in our lives-our actions and how we live. 

David placed the same request that we should all ask of God:

Psalm 139:23 

"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: "
