Have you ever thought about how often we use the word time and what context we use it.
"What time is it?" "I have all the time in the world'" "It's Christmas time" "This song is in 3/4 time" and many more examples.
"What time is it?" "I have all the time in the world'" "It's Christmas time" "This song is in 3/4 time" and many more examples.
I looked it up in a dictionary and saw that there are 14 different definitions.
We watch the clock and see it in the terms of minutes, hours, days, months, and years.
We understand it as a season or opportune time. We may also talk about it in a more general period like lifetime. When we are kids it seems that time goes by very slowly-Christmas or birthdays never seems to get here. But it seems that once you are an adult or maybe it is when you have children that time seems to speed up and the years go by more quickly. We measure our time with clocks that are either military time going from 0 hundred to 2400 or 12 hours divided in 60 minutes 1 to 5 minute increments at a time.
Clocks are useful but can be fun too. They can have digital numbers or a hand mechanism in the middle to tick the seconds and minutes away. I see a certain clock each night on my way home and I really like it. It has some stained glass panes in it and decided to take a picture of it and share with everyone.
What have you done with your time? Have you lived your life to the fullest for Christ making the most of your time here on earth?
